Lake Teletskoe can rightly be called the center of hiking trails in the Altai: One of them starts from the shores of Lake, others cross it. Alpine lake attracts the attention of a growing number of tourists with its unique, pristine beauty.
The first meeting with Russian TELETSKOE lake occurred 350 лет назад. In 1633 here he snuck a small detachment of Cossacks led by boyar son Peter Sobanskogo. Dwelt on the shores of not numerous tribe, called itself Teles. From this tribe called Russian lake Telesskim, later it became a Teletskoe.
In the works of world-renowned geographer, who lived in the first half of the nineteenth century, Karl Ritter, we read, that Chinese maps 1818 goda Thun is called Altay (Ortai) deer Altai. In Turkic tribes of the Altai and Tuva this lake called Altai-Nor.
One of the first European scientists - Traveler, Teletskoe visited the lake and swam along its shores in 1826 году, Bunge was a nerd. According to him, swimming on the lake would be of great interest to tourists, but only on the banks of the Teles lake no cities, or villas, no vineyards, no gardens, neither alpine huts, which are in the European Alps.
